We have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Apprentice to join our growing team, working within the Engineering team in the Essex area.
You’ll receive tailored on-the-job training from our in-house experts, combined with hands on practical responsibility to help you develop and progress. You’ll be working towards nationally recognised qualifications, Level 3 Bio Medical Engineering framework.
Working with both your line manager and other Engineers we want to identify the right opportunities to help you succeed in your career with us. You will also be assigned a mentor who will be there to offer support and guidance throughout your apprenticeship.

Avensys are a leading provider of medical equipment management and support services, offering bio-medical equipment engineering service solutions to private healthcare organisations including large NHS trusts, Primary Care Trusts and leading Private Hospital Groups and Clinics.
What will you do?
Our Engineering apprenticeship lasts up to two years. In the first year, you’ll spend most of your time studying theory elements of the apprenticeship and gaining some practical hands-on experience. In subsequent years, you’ll take on more responsibility and be able to work supervised carrying out the servicing and repairs to medical devices to be able to use your knowledge and put this into practice to gain experience in all aspects of the role of a Bio Medical Engineer.

What qualifications do you need?
To be eligible for our Engineering apprenticeship programme, you will need:
A minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent at A*-C (4-9) including Maths and Science at grade 5 or higher and English Language (not Literature) at grade 4 or higher.
Previous engineering experience is an advantage.
